Saturday, 08 January 2011 Press Release

New York, NY, January 6, 2011—FTL Solar, the world’s leading manufacturer of solar power producing structures, announced today that the Company, together with its strategic partners Green Galaxy Enterprises and Classic Party Rentals, has donated three FTL POWERMOD units to World Vision, The Cine Institute, Global Green and Haitian Street Kids (HSKI). These non-governmental organizations are providing shelter, medical, educational and environmental protection services to Haitian orphanages affected by the January 2010 earthquake.

FTL Solar’s POWERMOD units are freestanding 20×20 and 10×10 lightweight, flexible structures containing solar arrays capable of producing one kilowatt of electricity. The POWERMODs will be used to provide shelter and power for a wide range of mission critical operations.

Green Galaxy Enterprises coordinated the donation of the POWERMOD units. Airline Ambassadors and L’Athletique d’Haiti provided in-kind storage, shipping and transportation services enabling the POWERMOD units to be sent to World Vision and the other NGO’s without cost.

“Our POWERMOD units are providing power, shelter to Haiti’s most vulnerable citizens,” said Todd Dalland, FTL Solar’s Co-Founder and President of Design Engineering. “FTL’s POWERMODs and other power producing products can help the Haitian people not just survive, but thrive by transforming sunlight into the electricity critical for Haiti’s recovery and resurgence.”

“World Vision, Global Green, Cine Institute and HSKI have shown incredible leadership in addressing the challenges and opportunities for rebuilding Haiti after the earthquake,” said Nicole Hansen, President of Green Galaxy Enterprises.

“During the night, the POWERMOD will help us power our security lights and more,” said Andrew Bigosinski, the Cine Institute’s School Director. “We’re thankful to Tony Saxton of FTL Solar, Global Green, Airline Ambassadors, L’Athletique d’Haiti and everyone responsible for getting us on the right track.”
